THE GHOST IN THE MIRROR

In this piece Sarah explored common, age-old myths about mirrors and combined it with perception of ourselves, others, and the surrounding world. She created two videos to put on display for this piece.

During the installation Sarah brought in two, two-way mirrors and set them up facing one another. The videos were projected onto the backside of the mirrors using rear projection material. They were placed at a short distance apart, causing the videos to reflect onto and interact with one another. Viewers were encouraged to step in between the mirrors in order to view both the videos and their own reflections, adding a third element and dimension to the project.
